Apple iPhone 3.0 and all that hoopla...

I've had the iPhone 1.0 a long time ago. Right when they introduced it. I don't own it anymore. I had 3 irritating months with it and sold it. Moved onto the Blackberry. It's become my new girlfriend
I just saw that release notes of the iPhone 3.0 SDK...and am wondering what's all the hoopla about?
This is my Blackberry vs. iPhone 3.0 SDK comparison
Push notifications will be standard in iPhone 3.0. Apple claims that there was a scaling issue when they first announced this feature last year, with thousands of developers clamoring to use it, so it had to be delayed. Developers will be able to build message, sound, and badge alerts into their applications.

MMS -- you'll be able to use MMS on your iPhone 3G (yes, 1st gen iPhones will not get the fortune of using MMS due to the use of a different cell radio). The new Messages application will be taking the place of the SMS app and will allow you to send voice memos and pictures to your friends.
Blackberry? HAD IT!
Peer-to-Peer connectivity -- allows iPhone apps the ability to find other iPhone users over WiFi or Bluetooth. This can be using for anything from gaming to sharing data.

Voice memos will allow iPhone users the ability to capture audio and then email it, or send it through the Messages application as a multimedia message.
Blackberry? HAD IT! I can send short voicenotes within Blackberry Messenger
System-wide Spotlight searching is built right into the home screen. To the left of the first home screen, there is a magnifying glass, so by flicking to the left of the first home screen will show this search app. You can search for anything, including mail, music, and notes. There is no word yet on how this will interface with third-party applications.

Stereo Bluetooth audio devices are now supported through the use of A2DP technology.

Oh and if you don't have the new iPhone 3G model, you're SOL on some features:
Here's my contention with the iPhone and all of it's fanbase. Why are you so in love with a phone that's so crippled with features that it take 3 generations of software updates to catch up with handsets that already offer these features out of the box? Granted, the Blackberry and other smartphones don't have the wizbang UI that the iPhone does, but in the end, does the phone do what I want? With the iPhone I can say (only for myself) that it was so lacking in features that I had to abandon it. I'm very productive with my Blackberry and I will continue to be productive because even though the Blackberry isn't "oh wow pretty...look at the nice colors", it gets the job done. In the end, isn't that what it's all about?
The other 2 VERY important features that the Blackberry has over the iPhone are:
1) upgradeable storage (microSD support)
2) battery exchange (I don't need to be tethered to a cord all the time).
I think one killer app for the iPhone would be a competing application to the Blackberry Messenger. If every iphone can talk to every other iPhone (without the use of an online application like, AIM,YIM,MSN) that would make the iPhone more competitive.
Yeah I'm going to get alot of backlash from the Apple Sheeple community, but I just wanted to share my opinion of a piece of hardware that isn't all that it's cracked up to be but it's the biggest seller in the universe due to marketing and "feel good that I'm part of the elite" crowd.

Blackberry test? =)
The questions remains though...if the Blackberry device has all these things already then why are iPhone sales blowing the doors off the Blackberry? It's not just functionality...it's the whole package. Looks, functionality, feel, ease of use, coolness, etc.
Plus I was under the impression that the iPhone now supported Exchange. Isn't that what you're referring to by "outlook enterprise server emails"?
