Aptana + CFEclipse vs Eclipse + Aptana + CFEclipse

Can anyone tell me if there's any difference from using:

Aptana Studio with CFEclipse plugin
vs.
Eclipse with Aptana plugint + CFEclipse plugin

They both do the same thing. I'm using the latter and am wondering if I'm missing out on anything by using the former?

I'm having trouble with Aptana + CFEclipse. I can't open any CFM files after I install the CFEclipse plugin with Aptana Studio. I get a java.lang. error. But, using Eclipse/Aptana/CFEclipse, I can open my CFM files.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and cleaning up the registry on my WinXP Pro box, but the Aptana issue keeps cropping up.

Sooooo looking forward to going back to DW CS4....

phill.nacelli's Gravatar I have found that I get less in trouble by always starting with plain Eclipse installation and then add Aptana, CFEclipse and Flex Builder as plugins. All of the plugin version offerings of Aptana and Flex Builder have the same features as their full Eclipse based IDE stand alone installation options.

Cheers...

Henry Ho's Gravatar I can't say for Aptana, but for Flex Builder, I will go for Eclipse + Flex eclipse plugin! :)

Justin Carter's Gravatar Aptana does have nice support for file associations (on Windows at least) so you can open a file directly from Explorer by double-clicking on it (or right-click -> Open With). That's about the only benefit I know of :)

Barney's Gravatar Does anybody knows how to make auto conversion of pdf to flashpaper on linux server ?
is there a cf7 or cf8 tag for pdf to flashpaper conversion ? Found only 2 tutorials at rapidshare http://rapid4me.com SE, but they didn't work...

Henry's Gravatar flashpaper has been discontinued. Consider embed the PDF to your page instead.

I don't think there's a way to convert PDF -> Flashpaper even in CF9. You can only use CFDOCUMENT -> flashpaper.
