Aptana is already included with CFBuilder.

This might not be related but I do know that Aptana Studio Standalone is built atop Eclipse 3.5. Could there be an issue with 3.5 and CF Builder? I believe CF Builder was built and deployed on Eclipse 3.4 and know that several plugins (i.e., GWT and some others) did not transition well to Eclipse 3.5. Just a thought ...

Tryed both ways tonight. Seems there is a conflict somewhere. I tends to prove Andy is right: There might be some aptana in cfbuilder...

When trying f.e. to install aptana plugin in Cfbuilder standalone, I get this:
