FuseTalk Coldfusion Forum....is this still alive?

I've inherited a very old version of Fuse Talk forums, and I went to their website to get some support using their forums (yes they eat their own dog food). And in looking at the number of posts and the dates, it looks like this software is pretty defunct. I think the last post was sometime in 2008 or 2009. For a forum product not having an updated forum really raises some eyebrows with me.

Plus, have you seen what they're charging for their product? ==:O

I think I hear Galleon calling in the near distance :)

Sid Wing's Gravatar I HIGHLY recommend Galleon if you haven't already used it. Ray's forums app rocks the house!

Nick Gleason's Gravatar We use Fusetalk and have had good success with it. Based on our interactions with their sales and support staff, it seems very much alive and well. It ain't free however. In our case, having the ability to deploy many forums quickly, all the related features (list serve, blog, etc.) and the support have made it worth the money. But, that may not be the case for everyone.

Mike Collins's Gravatar Macromedia used FuseTalk for a long time. Adobe has since converted to Jive.

FuseTalk still has a quote from Jeremy Allaire on their site.

I found FuseTalk to be easy to use with some nice reporting and complete set of admin features/

I still like Galleon too and use it myself.

FuseTalk has some additional features that could easily make it worth the price if you are not one
to build them yourself.

You might want to look at JiveSpace.

Also check out a new Mura component called Workspace which has threaded discussions.
Workspace is not free though.

Lesley's Gravatar Hi, FuseTalk is certainly alive and doing well. We have light activity on the outward-facing forums, but we, as well as the majority of our customers, use FuseTalk internally and within closed communities every day. In terms of product development, we recently released a major version of our .NET product, and are working toward the next release on ColdFusion. We also have launched a new product called FuseDiligence, which is an evolutionary step towards increasing the value of discussion by focusing on collaborative business improvement and collaborative business intelligence (read more at http://www.fusetalk.com/ProductsServices/FuseDilig...). FuseTalk is an enterprise-class application, and while our prices are more expensive than less scalable products with limited functionality, inferior support and weaker security, our FuseTalk products are substantially lower in cost than other competing enterprise/corporate solutions.
